Repair George III Carver Dining Chair

Our customer had been told by several other restorers that the interlaced vase-shaped splat was beyond repair due to the number and complexity of the breaks. Fortunately, this is the sort of work we specialise in. Over the years we've repaired many broken Georgian chair splats using traditional restoration techniques, and not one has ever come back with a failed repair. By carefully reconstructing the original timber rather than replacing it, we were able to return the chair to both its original strength and appearance.
